                    BALLROOM SHOES  <S>

Shoe styles designed for social dance. Unless otherwise indicated, all are chrome (sueded) leather soled and ladie's styles generally have narrower lasts than similar theater dance styles. Consider for choral and concert ensembles. For styles suitable for 19th and 20th century dramatic and musical theater themes see PERIOD SHOES. 1NOTE: Sn sizes 3 - 20, whole (no half) sizes and medium width only. Sn "International" sizing is numerically approximately 3 larger than dance shoe size. Order about 2½ to 3 numbers larger than established ballroom size; i.e., try a Sn size 10 for established 7 to 7½ foot (not street shoe) size.

        TRAINING SHOES

Generally plainer, less expensive styles suitable for most ballroom classes. For those seeking greater "support" and comfort, wider last tap shoes are also included as noted. Most C styles include heel covers and shoe covers.

        TAP SHOES

Graduated 1½" or 2" heel, "oak" (smooth cowhide) sole, wider last, inexpensive styles which many find more comfortable practice shoes.

        CUSTOM-MADE

While some stock usually exists for "custom made" styles, customization allows enormous costuming and character/application flexibility. Delivery schedules vary - order early. Size, sole, heel, and upper materials/colors options vary with manufacturer. Price may vary with materials. Rhinestone trims, snap fasteners, cushion inserts, and other options may be available - ask. C and Co have an established history for unique custom-made shoes for every dance application - ask (for a brief sampling, see CUSTOM SHOES). For social or competitive ballroom, hundreds of styles, including custom men's, are available - request graphics.

                Sizes

Following are adult sizes. Keep in mind that ballroom lasts are narrower than most theater dance and street shoes. Order appropriately or allow time for sizing samples.
Co - Narrow Medium Wide, 6-12; 12½-14 plus 13.00.
Elg - N M W, 5-12; request pricing for smaller and larger sizes.

                Soles

Chrome: light weight sueded leather, very flexible, standard for ballroom and jazz.
Oak: heavier leather, moderate flexibility, commonly standard for general thatrical applications and tap. Limited streetwear suitability.
Leather: thicker leather, least flexible, generally used for streetwear.
Co - all three.
Elg - chrome, oak, double thickness.

Materials are available in ## colors - request specifics (swatches are usually available). Other materials may be available.
